You will receive calls after Eid only hopefully. They usually take some time in case of vivas and presentations.

Lastly, yes you are unable to apply for your degree without clearing your internship / project completely along with viva / presentation.

In VU there is no concept of grace marks or rounding a value to next decimal. So 2.15 mean 2.15. Definitely if you improve your D grade subjects your CGPA will increase. You can improve more than 1 D.
