Ratios Required for Other Companies 
1)  Current Ratio 
Formula= current assets/current liabilities
2)  Acid Test Ratio 
Formula =Current asset –inventories-prepaid expense/current liabilities
3)  Working Capital 
Formula =Working capital= current assets- current liabilities
4)  Times Interest Earned 
Formula =Earning before income tax (EBIT) /interest expense
 
5)  Debt Ratio 
Formula =Debt ratio= total liabilities / total assets
6)  Debt / Equity Ratio 
Formula =Debt/equity ratio = total liabilities/ shareholders equity
7)  Net Profit Margin 
Formula =Net profit margin =net profit after taxation / net
sales *100
8)  Gross Profit Margin 
Formula =Gross profit margin= gross profit / net sales * 100
9)  Return on Assets(ROA) 
Formula =Return on assets = net profit after tax/ total
assets*100
10)  Operating Income Margin 
Formula =earning before income tax (EBIT)/net sales *100
11)  Return on Equity 
Formula =Net income/ total equity *100
Or net profit after taxation /total equity
12)  Assets Turnover Ratio

13)  Operating Cash Flow Ratio 

Operating Cash Flow Ratio
14)  Dividend per Share 
Formula Dividend per share= dividend amount / number of equity
shares
Or
Dividend per share = total dividend / no of outstanding shares
15)  Earning per Share
Formula =Earning per share= net profit after tax/ number of
outstanding shares
