Due to calendar irregularities, absence of January effect yet existence of Month of the year effect in Karachi stock exchange implies that following these calendar irregularities, investors can do better than the market and this is against the principal of market efficiency that concurs that no investor with its strategies can beat the market.

In light of our results obtained from this study, we may say that Pakistani stock market is an inefficient market where investors can estimate their future returns. Existence of month of the year anomaly enables the investors to forecast the future share prices (for the May month in this case) by observing the current trend in stock market and can craft strategies which may help them to get the profit above market level.

This study can be further expanded by future researchers by including heteroscedasticity into the estimation procedure to check volatility of data. It can be also expanded to include other relevant variables.
