Dear Members,

I have found a very common mistake made by group members. I think I should explain to all as it is also very useful for our professional career.

Common Mistakes:

1.     I have seen we are replying to emails with our problems but the subject is not matching. For example, someone need assignment of MGT101 then on the same thread, another will reply that he need assignment of MGT211 or if someone starts a thread for someone from Dubai them someone from Gujranwala or Sheikhupura will reply on that.

2.     There is already one thread in progress for a subject like "need assignment of MGT101" and people are replying on it and some helping person shares assignment in the same thread then you will find a new thread "MGT101 assignment needed".

3.     Someone starts a thread with subject "Hi or Salam" and the problem is explained in the email body. That is you can't understand the purpose of this thread until you real all of the contents in body.

Disadvantages in Professional Career:

1.     We leave an impression on our boss/others that we are highly immature in professionalism.

2.     We are consuming so much time of others for reading our emails and problem while in real life, our bosses, team leaders or colleagues doesn't have that much time.

3.     We are annoying others for asking the same solution again and again. (In technical professional, we also need support from others for some technical solutions)

How to Resolve:

1.     Always reply with the concerned information of the subject. If your concern is not related to the thread's subject then start a new one.

2.     Always check all the threads subject if there is any already in progress related to your problem then post there otherwise start a new one. (get ourselves used to different tools to support this feature like use search feature in subjects with some keywords to check it quickly) or read all emails 1st before posting a new one.

3.     Always choose subjects of thread showing the real concern of you so that don't have to read all the email body.

The above writings were written with sole intention of bringing betterment in ourselves and there was no sense of criticism involved.

Thanks & Regards

Waqar Naeem

Updating our Google Account inactivity policy

Every day Google works hard to keep you and your private information safe and secure by preventing unauthorized access to your Google Account with our built-in security protections. And keeping you safe means having strong privacy practices across our products that minimize how long we store your personal files and any data associated with them. You can review the new terms here . At a glance, here's what this update means for you: More clarity on what you can expect from Google and what we expect from you : We're providing more examples to describe the mutually respectful conduct that we expect from all our users. Improved readability : While our terms remain a legal document, we've done our best to make them easier to understand, including reorganizing some topics so that they're easier to find.
