A structure is one which fulfills the needs of all concerning parities. In work palace fulfill the needs of employees and on market place it fulfill the needs of customers. A good structure is an asset of the organization like the workers. A good structure should be on employee's side which is the real well wisher of the organization. Structure would not be enough difficult and long that the timely decisions will not take from the opportunities. I think matrix structure is good for the Sorbet pvt Ltd. Matrix structure is a structure who prefer to both type of communication. This is suitable when business has self contained units and each of it has its own management but the communication is very easy through computerized and information system. Sorbet pvt Ltd has information system which provides information of every functional area very easily. I am suggesting this system on the following reasons….
1) Sorbet pvt Ltd has different items of product which is producing and serving. After doing their division, it is very easy to control better than the current structure.
2) The communication problem will be eliminated through adopting this structure instead of restructuring the organization. Every employee has preferences in the manager's eye.
3) In, divisional structure, the divisional manger is liable for the sales and profit of the organization due to extensive and wide delegation of authority. But this system provide as a whole organization authority. The manager keeps good relation with the employees and participate them into the decision making.
4) After participate the employees and workers in decision making, and getting the objectives of the organization, it is more possible to control the local situations and market. This will lead to the competitive advantage and competitive climate will be creating within the work force.
5) In this structure, the employee's moral is very high which shows the consent of the workers with the management and well being of the organization.
6) Sorbet pvt Ltd has integrated package of services encompassing engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning & maintenance projects which will be able to fit and dealing with confidence by the organization.
7) There strategic business unit is not suitable because of having Middle East operations. Strategic business unit works on overall organization but there matrix is fit because of having a separate responsibility of the managers and having the employees response and valuable suggestions.
8) It is suitable on the projected firms. Sorbet pvt Ltd has project plan and due to this we cannot ignore the other operations and services of the firm. In, there is need to report more than one person which is also a cause for delaying in decision making less communication among the members. And this system depends upon the dual aspect i.e. horizontal and vertical flow of communication and authority which means that it is most complex in the seven alternatives of structures. This is very suitable by the organization.
9) This structure is referred to as the project team structure which is also comes true on the organization.
10) All Specific tasks and projects are managed by team leaders in this structure
11) Every team include members from different departments, each with their own expertise related to project
12) It takes employees to work with other employees with diverse specialist's from their usual functional areas
13) So, this structure make sure that the project has all the skills needed to achieve its target and employees may advantage from each other abilities
