i just said right in some other context/meaning, i am just saying to all that to do specialization in which you think you can achieve better or polish your hidden skills better, marketing is very broad subject and this thought is common in students or any individual but at the same time no matter what specialization you select it is on your interest that how much time you give to make it special for you. if any one has interest in marketing then just do it, if in HR then go for it coz it is having its own fruits, if any one think he/she can do best in Finance then go for it, and make it special for you. last but not least decision is yours coz you will use your mind no one else.

and jnaab conflict in some cases increase knowledge ;) so its ok. am also a student.

no doubt marketing is very broad subject, but HRM is broad also,
am not HR student but i have studied much about HR and General management
it is not just a desk Job :), whatever, anyhow, my suggestion is do specialization in subject in which you think you can do best and learn best and which shows interest and passion.
