1) For BS degree holders (16 years education):
For admission in direct PhD program, you must have a 2.5 years MBA after completion of 16 years (4 year BS degree) education, there is no need to do MS/MPhill before applying into PhD. All you need is to complete GAT Subject.
 
2) For BA/BCom/BSc. degree holders (14 years education):
3.5 years MBA is nothing to do with PhD admission, one must have at least 18 years of education for joining PhD program, so if u r enganged with 3.5 years MBA you have to complete MS/MPhill, then you'll be eligible for PhD.
